Quartz glass is one of the preferred material for
transportation, storage or handling even at high temperature of
corrosive media. Due to its characteristic properties, e.g. high
temperature stability and resistance to nearly all acids, quartz
glass occupies special niches in the chemical industry. Even the
high resistance to thermal shock is an important requirement for
these applications: recycling processes (precious metals,
accumulators), manufacturing of chlorine, high pure titanium
oxide production and many other high temperature processes
(chlorination, calcination).
